This course is an introduction on how to build your own robots (RoboCar, RoboArm).
You will have a hands-on simulation activities and guided projects in electronics, robotics, and programming using TinkerCad.
To activate the minds and create new ideas in the field of Robotics.
To understand and build robotics systems through the use of Microcontroller (Arduino, Microbit, Raspberry Pi)
-The entire course is dedicated to hands-on practice, follow the illustrated examples and experiment on your own.
-No previous electronics or programming knowledge required and open to 8-16 years old.
-Seting up TinkerCad Account.
-Downloading and Installing Arduino IDE.
-Assemble a circuit on a breadboard using different electronic components: (LEDs, Buzzers, Switches, Potentiometers, Resistor, Capacitor, Transistors, Joysticks, LCD Screens, Bluetooth Modules, etc.)
-Measuring distance with ultrasound, IR sensor, and detect movement using PIR sensor.
-Actuator, Servo Motors, Stepper Motor, DC Motor and Motor driver (L293D, L9100).
I graduated from Systems Plus Computer Colllege in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I have been in the IT industry for almost 20 years and I previously worked at the school from 2000-2005 as a Computer Teacher. Currently, I am working as Design Technology Technician and support all GCSE and A Level Students. I thoroughly enjoy being in a school environment.
