    Learners of all ages can join teachmenow and start learning online.

  • How does teachmenow protect my privacy?

    teachmenow is GDPR compliant. Your personal identifiable information, including your contact details, school details, location and age, will neither be shared through the platform nor with third-parties without your explicit authorisation. The same applies for your payment information as we use the industry-standard secure and compliant payment processors.

  • Do I need to download anything to use teachmenow?

    teachmenow is a web-based platform. All you need is a device with an internet connection. We recommend using a laptop or desktop for live sessions as the larger screen enhances your experience.

  • How much does it cost to use teachmenow?

    You can sign up for free on the teachmenow platform.

    As a student, you buy credits which are used towards your learning sessions as per the respective mentors’ session rate.

  • Are mentors employed by teachmenow?

    teachmenow does not employ mentors. Through a stringent verification process, we allow verified mentors on the platform.

  • How do I know if a mentor is qualified?

    All mentors on teachmenow undergo a stringent verification process that verifies their expertise in their subjects, teaching experience and education history.

    The mentors’ profiles provide you with the right information to decide which mentor would be the right fit for your need. You will also be able to see their experience and history, along with their ratings provided by previous students.

  • How do I find a mentor?

    Once you register on the teachmenow platform, you can filter the mentors based on criteria such as curriculum, subject, grade/year, session rate, gender and more. Once you shortlist your mentors, you can contact them through the “Send a Message” feature to schedule a session as per your mutual convenience.

  • What subjects do the mentors focus on?

    At teachmenow, we have subject specialists in all curricula, including American, British, Indian and International Baccalaureate.

  • Booking Sessions
  • How do I schedule a session with a mentor of my choice?

    Once you sign up as a student on teachmenow platform, you will have access to view all the mentors’ profiles. Once you have selected a mentor, you can check their availability on the mentor calendar provided. Additionally, you can simply message them and find out. Moreover, you may request for a different time slot if none of those provided work for you.

  • What are the different types of sessions available on teachmenow?

    On teachmenow, you can opt for individual or group sessions. Mentors can also offer discounted packages consisting of multiple sessions.

    Group sessions can have upto 20 students in a session. However, we recommend no more than 20 students in a session for an inclusive and interactive experience.

    teachmenow also offers in-depth courses, which are a combination of live sessions and pre-reecorded content to cover a particular subject matter thoroughly.

  • Will I get reminders about my upcoming session?

    Yes, you will receive an email reminder 1 hour prior to the start of any upcoming session. You will also get a notification on the platform, 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.

    Please run the platform diagnostic tool prior to starting the session to ensure that you are ready for the session with your mentor.

  • Payment
  • How much do I pay a mentor for a session?

    This is pre-determined by the rate that a mentor sets for a session. The payment for a session is automated and it will be deducted from your credits when you book a session.

  • How do I buy credits to use on the platform?

    You can purchase credits to use on our platform through our secure payment gateway. You will be asked to select the amount of credit you would like to purchase, after which you can use your preferred payment method and enter your details. Once the payment process is completed, you can use the purchased credits on the platform to pay for sessions.

    The credits can be purchased either through your profile page or when booking a session with a mentor.

  • Do I need to buy credits before I schedule a session with a mentor?

    Yes, prior to scheduling any session with a mentor, you will be asked to pay the necessary credits for that mentor's session. If you do not have sufficient credit to schedule a session, you will also be prompted to buy additional credits before you schedule a session with the mentor.

  • Do I need to put my card information on file before I schedule a session with a mentor?

    No, you do not need to save your card or payment information on the platform.

  • What happens if I do not have the necessary credits to extend a session?

    You will receive warnings if you are running short of credits for a session and you will be asked to purchase additional credits to continue your session with your mentor.

  • What features can I expect when I join a session with a mentor on teachmenow?

    teachmenow is an end-to-end platform. In every live session, you and your mentor have access to a real time collaboration features via voice, video and chat, document and screen sharing.

  • Can I record my session?

    Sessions are automatically recorded for safeguarding purposes. Recordings may be used as evidence should a learner lodge a complaint against their mentor. These recordings may not be accessed and downloaded by you or your mentor for personal use. However, you will have access to all documents shared during the session after the session ends.

  • Can I share my screen with my mentor?

    Yes, both students and mentors can share their screens during a session.

  • How do I rate and review my mentor?

    All mentors can be rated at the end of session or any time after the session ends.

  • Troubleshooting
  • What should I do prior to a session with a mentor to ensure that I get the most out of my session?

    We recommend that you check the setup of your laptop before every session with a mentor by running our diagnostic test to check your camera, microphone, speaker and internet speed. The tool will let you know if you have any issues with your laptop and list ways to troubleshoot on your own.

  • What happens if my session is interrupted?

    The clock is stopped when your session ends or when it is interrupted. Please check your internet connection and reconnect so that you and your mentor can complete the session. You will be only charged for the amount of time you were in a session with the mentor.

  • What happens if I cannot attend a session?

    Please let the mentor know over 48 hours in advance if you are unable to attend a session. This will give you the opportunity to reschedule the session with the mentor or request for a full refund.

    Refund Request Notification refers to the email that you must send to hello@teachmenow.com to request a refund of the funds held in your Wallet.

    If you cancel or reschedule the session less than 48 hours before the scheduled session, you may not be entitled to be refunded for the planned session.

  • What do you look for in a mentor? What documents would you require?

    On teachmenow, we consider a potential mentor's soft skills such as:

    1. Passion for teaching

    2. A minimum 2 years' of relevant teaching experience

    3. Communication capabilities, particularly on an online environment

    4. Approach to flexibility and personalisation

    5. Ability to motivate learners

    We also require mentors to provide the following official documents:

    1. Proof of Identity issued by their home country or country of residence

    2. Education certificates and qualifications attested by the relevant authorities

    3. CRB or DBS background or an equivalent Police Certificate of Good Conduct from their home country or country of residence

  • Do I need to download anything to use teachmenow?

    teachmenow is a web-based platform. All you need is a device with an internet connection. We recommend using a laptop or desktop for live sessions as the larger screen enhances your experience. 

  • How much does it cost to use teachmenow?

    You can register and create your mentor profile on teachmenow for free.

    You can set your own hourly session rate on teachmenow in USD, from which the platform will deduct a minimal fee to support operational costs.

  • Do all mentors join teachmenow automatically when they register?

    Mentors should signup, complete and submit their profiles. However, your profile will be set live only after a successful review process by the teachmenow team.

  • How do I schedule a session with a student?

    As per the teachmenow policy, a mentor will not be able to invite a student to a session. The student must initiate contact with you to discuss their requirements and schedule a session based on your mutual convenience.

    Once you have accepted a request, you can schedule a session at any time between each other.

  • What are the different types of sessions available on teachmenow?

    On teachmenow, students can opt for individual or group sessions. Mentors can also offer discounted packages consisting of multiple sessions.

    Group sessions can have up to 20 students in a session. However, we recommend no more than 20 students in a session for an inclusive and interactive experience.

    You may have seen the availability of “Courses” on teachmenow. As it stands today, the ability to create and deliver courses is only reserved for our education partner organisations.

    While pricing your sessions, we recommend you take into consideration your experience and subject matter expertise.

  • How and when do I get paid?

    Based on your activity on the platform, you accrue payment amounts. This amount is paid out to you for completed sessions based on agreed payment cycles and commercial terms when you join teachmenow. Payments are made out to your bank account.

    teachmenow is an end-to-end platform. In every live session, you and the student(s) have access to a real time collaboration features via voice, video and chat, document and screen sharing.

  • Can I record my session?

    Following every session completed, the student can give a rating on the overall experience during the session.

    We recommend that you check the setup of your laptop before every session with a student(s) by running our diagnostic test to check your camera, microphone, speaker and internet speed. The tool will let you know if you have any issues with your laptop and list ways to troubleshoot on your own.

  • What happens if my session is interrupted?

    The clock is stopped when your session ends or when it is interrupted. Please check your internet connection and reconnect so that your student(s) and you can complete the session. The student(s) will be only charged for the amount of time that they were in a session with you.

  • What happens if I cannot attend a session?

    Please let the student(s) know in advance if you are unable to attend a session and reschedule the session at an alternative time slot convenient to all.

    If you cancel or reschedule a session within (48) hours of the Session start date and time, the Mentor shall not be entitled to the Mentor Fees and the Student’s TMN Wallet shall be credited with the amount of the Student Fees.

    If you cancel or reschedule in excess of 48 hours of the scheduled session, the mentor can offer the student to either reschedule or cancel and the Student’s TMN Wallet shall be credited with the full amount.

    The mentor shall only receive the Mentor Fees upon successful performance of the Mentoring Services as re-scheduled in accordance with this Mentor Agreement.

  • Which browser should I use to join a session?

    Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are the recommended browsers to use for our platforms for full technical compatibility.
